On December 7, the last impoverished household in Mile City that had been without electricity finally gained access to power, eight days ahead of the scheduled connection date.

To earnestly implement the 2017 work requirements of the Provincial Company and the Honghe Bureau regarding electrification of impoverished households in rural areas without access to electricity, Yunnan Miler Power Supply Co., Ltd. of China Southern Power Grid has actively coordinated with the governments of various townships and towns in Miler City, conducting on-site visits to assess the power supply situation for all 21 registered impoverished households in Miler City that lack electricity. Based on on-site surveys of each household’s meter installation and power usage plans, 14 production and maintenance projects have been formulated.

As the implementing department for the electrification project targeting impoverished households without access to electricity, the Company’s Production Equipment Management Department has proactively coordinated and allocated funds totaling over 100,000 yuan for 14 projects. It organized two construction teams, meticulously planned the construction schedule for all 14 projects, assigned specific personnel and responsibilities, and advanced each project’s progress according to established milestones. With the concerted cooperation of the various power supply stations and material departments, the electrification projects have been steadily progressing on time and to the required quality, in accordance with the construction schedule.

It is reported that from the smooth commencement of the first electrification project in mid-September this year to December 7, the electrification of all impoverished households without access to electricity in the four townships of Miyang, Xi’er, Hongxi, and Wushan was completed in just three months.
